BIOGRAPHY
Yasemin Zengin Karaibrahimoğlu graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey in 2005. Karaibrahimoğlu spent her sophomore yeat at De Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (University of Groningen) in Netherlands as an exchange student. Between 2006-2010, she studied PhD in accounting at Izmir University of Economics, Izmir, Turkey and worked as research assistant in the same university. During her PhD studies, in 2008, Karaibrahimoğlu spent the summer term at University of Texas at Dallas, Dallas, USA as a visiting researcher and in 2010 she was visiting research fellow at Lancaster University with TUBİTAK International Research Fellowship Programme to work on her dissertation. She received her PhD degree from Izmir University of Economics in 2010. Between February, 2011 and May, 2012, she worked as a lecturer in accounting at the Department of Business Administration in Izmir University of Economics. In May, 2012, she was assigned as Asst. Prof. Dr. in the Department of Business Administration. Her research interests include Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, IFRSs, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Capital Markets, Corporate Governance and Audit.
